Toastmasters Speaking Elephants Meeting- November 29th

Serendipity: “happy accident” or “pleasant surprise”, specifically, the accident of finding something good or useful without looking for it.

The guests who attended our Tuesday meeting titled: ” Serendipity” were, for sure, pleasantly surprised to see how much the Toastmasters Organization and our Club have to offer to those who search for ways to better themselves.

The meeting was hosted by our VPM Iga Korneta CC, CL. Iga, as always ran the whole meeting with surgical precision, making sure the meeting was pleasant and at the same time kept within the allotted time.

We had 3 speeches this evening:

Michał Paluchowski present his 6th CC project – Vocal Variety, titled “The Boss to Underling Disconnection”, where he spoke of the widening gap between bosses and workers. It was great food for thought for all the present!

Wojtek Pisklak presented his 7th CC project – Research Your Topic, where he spoke of Georgia, a land filled with magnificent history and unparalleled natural beauty. Wojtek took us on a wonderful trip to that distant state, which we could see through his eyes. Great job!

Mirek Grybalow, CC, presented his 5th and final project from the advanced Professional Speaker manual – The Professional Seminar, titled “Effective Selling”. With this great performance Mirek distinguished himself again by becoming an Advanced Communicator, and joined our elite group of speakers who have managed to complete all the demands of the Advanced manual. Congratulations to Mirek!

Please be reminded that our next week meeting (6 Dec. 2011) will significantly differ from our regular meeting format, as we will be holding our first Speech Marathon.

We hope the allure of such a great physical test is tempting for all professional speakers and audience:)
